CARE Goes to Miss Ohio
Why Pageantry?
CARE President and CEO, Corri, is excited to announce her candidacy in the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program this June! She will be representing Children’s Advocacy, Resources, and Education at the Miss Ohio pageant as Miss Northwestern Ohio!
Corri sees pageantry as more than an opportunity for sparkly crowns and designer dresses. She sees the role of holding a pageant title as a tool to forward a mission with passion, hence why she is pursuing the annual Miss Ohio pageant.
What is Corri Doing to Prepare for Miss Ohio?
Corri has been working hard to form partnerships with local organizations and becoming ambassadors with other nonprofits that share similar goals of helping children. Most recently, Corri has signed on to become an ambassador for the organization, Kada’s Promise. This organization was founded by Kadance Fredericksen to provide love and healing to survivors of child abuse and neglect through donations of teddy bears and blankets. Kada’s Promise has ambassadors located throughout the country who work to donate these gifts to local Children’s Advocacy Centers, as even small gestures can make a huge difference in a child survivor’s life.
Corri has also been working alongside her fiancé, Henry, to start a local Upward Sports program. This is a youth sports ministry that hosts a variety of sports practices and games for youth while including devotionals at all events. Corri is working on the management and marketing of an upcoming flag football program to start this Summer! Upward Sports is an organization that Corri holds close as she participated as a child, playing basketball, soccer, and cheerleading.

Miss Ohio 2026 will be crowned on the night of June 20, 2026, receiving scholarship money, opportunities during her year of reign to promote her community service initiative, and the chance to showcase her hard work on the Miss America national stage.
